Impact

The impact of the Florence Nightingale Foundation is demonstrated most significantly by the personal and professional development described by the healthcare professionals who engage in our programmes and as members of the FNF Academy. The outstanding reputation of our leadership development has resulted in the substantial growth of provision. We are proud of the diversity of health and care professionals who undertake our programmes. We are committed to supporting nurses and midwives from all backgrounds and fields of practice.

The positive consequence of the FNF leadership development opportunities and community on career progression, increased influence, extended professional networks and confidence to advocate are described consistently as outcomes of the FNF educational experience. We are capturing this impact over time through a longitudinal leadership impact questionnaire. This will measure both the personal impact and the impact on service, policy, economy, workforce and health outcomes.
