Big Give, Big Thanks!

We were delighted to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge Week between 28 Nov-5 Dec. This meant that, with the support of some generous partners, donations made would be DOUBLED, for just one week!!

We hoped to raise £10,000, this amount would be matched by a generous donation of £5,000 from both ShinyMind and Candis Club which meant if we reached our target, we would raise £20,000.

Money raised goes towards funding our Nightingale Frontline® peer support service. This online safe space was set up during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. It continues to provide our healthcare workers with emotional and wellbeing support: working through leadership challenges and thinking through new approaches to difficult situations.

Over 80% of nurses and midwives reported a decline in their mental health in the past year. Research shows a strong connection between the quality of patient and health care and the emotional and mental well-being of health and care staff.

‘You have to look after yourself before you can look after others.’

We are delighted to announce that not only did we reach our target, we raised £21,290!

Huge thanks go to our amazing partners ShinyMind and Candis Club for choosing to support us. And massive thanks go to every person who donated to us during the Big Give Christmas Challenge Week, helping us reach and go beyond our target. We could not have done it without you.

As a registered charity, donations make a huge difference to the work we can do and help us to support more nurses and midwives across the UK to improve care and save lives.

If you could not get involved in the Big Give Christmas Challenge Week but would like to donate to support our work, you can still do this via our website (link). In fact, we have lots of ways you can support us e.g. through fundraising challenges, volunteering or even by donating whilst you shop. Visit our Support Us section to find out more.

If you would like to speak to us about how to get more involved with fundraising or how you could partner with us or donate to our work, contact Clementine Kumar, or call 020 7730 3030.
