Aspiring Digital Healthcare Leadership Programme

Overview

The Florence Nightingale Foundation is pleased to offer a leadership programme to aspiring digital career nurses, midwives, AHPs and pharmacists. These are professionals at any stage of their career who are taking their first steps on a digital career path and have aspiration to influence digital transformation.

This three day residential programme, in London, offers a supportive learning environment to develop leadership identity, capacity, and capability. Delegates will leave with the tools to influence organisational and patient outcomes at a local, systems, national and international level of health and social care delivery through digital transformation.

The programme is delivered in partnership with RADA and CHIME and will enable participants to:

  • Explore, define and develop their unique approach to leadership within digital transformation.
  • Prepare for future leadership positions which offer them the opportunity to exercise their knowledge and influence at a systems level.
  • Explore their role in maintaining the art of healthcare whilst embedding digital solutions into practice.
  • Develop skills in educating and engaging the wider healthcare workforce, whilst reiterating the need to retain clinical judgement and decision making by not becoming dependent on the technology or detached from the art of patient care.

Location
London (venue TBC)

Cost
The three-day residential programme costs £2,500 per delegate including full catering and two nights accommodation. Delegates will need to fund their own transportation to and from the venue.

Places can be self-funded or funded by the employer (CPD budget).

A limited number of places will be funded by NHS England South East. The funded places are only available to applicants who work in the Southeast Region within NHS settings. Please note on your form if you would like to apply for one of these funded places (this does not include transport to and from London).

“Digital is everywhere in nursing. I’m a cancer nurse specialist and now a digital champion in my hospital. I’m the manager for patient-initiated follow-up of cancer patients. We can see real benefits to the patients of this digital protocolised cancer surveillance. It is a privilege to be involved in project management around this and to improve the patient journey. This 3-day FNF programme for Aspiring Digital Leaders was a real inspiration and I really want to stay focused on digital in my work. I built strong relationships with others on the course and we have already been supporting each other since through our WhatsApp group.” Claire Marsh, recent Aspiring Digital Leadership Programme participant
