As a nursing and midwifery charity, it would not be appropriate for the Florence Nightingale Foundation to pass comment on the planned industrial action, but we do emphasise our continued commitment to support the nursing and midwifery professions to overcome the national and global workforce challenges. 

Retaining nurses, midwives and all healthcare workers is vital to strengthening and improving healthcare. Thanks to our work, we understand the importance of appropriate recognition and reward, reflective of the crucial roles and responsibilities our professions play in society.
