Florence Nightingale Commemoration service- tickets available

The 58th annual Florence Nightingale Commemoration Service will take place at St Paul’s Cathedral on Tuesday 16th May at 17:00hrs. We would like to invite our supporters to join with us to celebrate nurses and midwives everywhere who continue Florence’s legacy today.

Since 1965, The Florence Nightingale Foundation (FNF) has hosted this special event to honour our nursing and midwifery community. This year sees a change in the venue from Westminster Abbey to St Paul’s due to the Coronation of King Charles III.

During the Service, a Lamp Carrier and two Lamp Escorts lead a procession of registered nurses and midwives, scholars of the Foundation, followed by student nurses and midwives to the front of the Cathedral. This signifies the transfer of nursing and midwifery knowledge to future nurses and midwives.

We reserve some tickets to the event for our recently graduated scholars and those who have attended our leadership programmes, our FNF Academy members, partners, sponsors, and donors.

We have a limited number of public tickets available here. Tickets will be allocated on a first come- first serve basis and you will be notified by 28th April if your application is successful.

Tickets for the Service are free of charge but as a charity which relies on external funding to support our programmes and services for nurses and midwives, we would be most grateful if you are able to donate to our Fund a Scholar appeal. We are aiming to raise £12,500 to award a leadership scholarship to an outstanding nurse or midwife in 2024. Please donate by clicking here.
