Brona Shaw

Alison Taylor is a Nurse consultant at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre (CCC), where she is the lead for acute oncology and cancer of unknown primary.

Alison trained at the University of Liverpool (UoL) and specialised in cancer care. She has had a variety of roles within cancer over the last 20 years.

Her most recent roles were in the Countess of Chester as the acute oncology CNS, where she also was the module leader for the UoL online acute oncology course. She completed her FNF emerging leaders scholarship in 2020, highlights included The Windsor leadership course, attendance at Westminster for the opening event for 2020 year of the nurse and midwife. Alison is passionate about leading cancer care nursing and moved back to CCC in 2020, to lead the ANP team and be part of the nursing team that opened the new hospital in Liverpool. She also led the CCC covid -19 patient helpline which was nominated for a Nursing Times Award. She is keen to share her learning, and champion the experiences and benefits of being an FNF scholar to ensure all nurses have a voice and a place at the table.
