New year, new programmes! Our leadership programmes have been described as ‘transformational’ – and with good reason. They help develop, support and retain nurses and midwives, and strengthen individuals, teams and organisations.
FNF leadership programmes help strengthen participants’ ability to lead and influence, and ultimately improve care and save lives. There is something for everyone, with discounts often available for FNF Academy Members.
Some programmes are open for applications from individuals and some programmes are open to group booking/commissions for your workforce. Find out more below.
Aspiring Digital Healthcare Leadership Programme
For professionals at any stage of their career who are taking their first steps on a digital career path. A three-day programme, delivered by CHIME International, designed to empower nurses and midwives with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to navigate and thrive in the rapidly evolving digital health landscape. Emerging Clinical Leaders Programme
Aimed at nurses and midwives working post-preceptorship (Band 5 or 6) in patient-facing roles. The programme will enable participants to develop their individual and collective leadership identity, creating a close network and sense of belonging. It will equip emerging leaders with the skills and knowledge to meet the demands of modern health and social care leadership. Next programme dates: from May 2025 (6 days over 6 months). Leading, Creating and Sustaining Safe Cultures of Care
For nurses and midwives working at Band 7 or above: recognise the critical role of leadership in promoting and maintaining a culture of safety. Acquire skills to effectively lead safety initiatives, including communication, decision-making, and team building. Learn about the concept of psychological safety and its importance in enabling individuals to voice their concerns without fear of negative consequences. Next programme dates: 31 March – 2 April (London – residential). Find out more here.

Online leadership programmes
FNF online learning is innovative, engaging and interactive, with meaningful clinical narratives and using a wide variety of multimedia. Through online learning we reach larger groups and make learning materials and programmes more accessible, with tailored courses and modules aimed at specific groups of healthcare professional or to address a defined learning need. The following courses are open for group bookings (min 20 places) and the courses start in spring or autumn 2025.
