Our alumni community are an active and engaged network of healthcare professionals who have undertaken one of our leadership programmes or scholarships.

They are from all sectors of health and social care, all fields of practice and range from early-career to established senior leaders. Our alumni offer each other mentorship, allyship and advocacy. It is clear that bringing together the collective influence of the Florence Nightingale Foundation leadership development programmes creates a powerful and impactful community. Find out more about our Leadership Programmes here.

All our Alumni can access our Alumni Portal, using the password you were sent on graduating.

FNF Alumni Champions

FNF launched the Alumni Champions initiative in March 2022. We asked FNF Alumni across the UK to help us share the fantastic work we’re doing in their region and the call was answered! These Champions are enthusiastic and committed nurses and midwives who want to raise FNF’s profile, influence change, and pay forward the opportunities FNF has given them.

What do the Alumni Champions do?

Alumni Champions promote FNF programmes and membership. What’s more, they create local communities who get together to focus on exciting projects such as fundraising, social and environmental initiatives. The initiative has already shown great potential and FNF will continue to grow the Champions network.

Represent Florence Nightingale Foundation in your region by:

  • Advertising FNF’s scholarships and leadership programmes when they are launched.
  • Organising networking events for FNF alumni in your area.
  • Identifying regional nursing and midwifery development themes that FNF could help to improve by focusing our work on.
  • Sharing your leadership journey by offering an FNF case study.
  • Organising fundraising activities or events in your area and securing funding for FNF scholarships where possible.
  • Meeting online every two months.
  • Remaining dynamic and aligned with FNF Scholar priorities.
  • Supporting and encouraging scholarship applications.
  • Remaining engaged with FNF opportunities and sustain links.
  • Collaborating with other FNF as they develop.

We have Alumni Champions across the UK in the East of England, London, the Midlands, the North East, the North West, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the South East, the South West and Wales
