Online Leadership Course Open for Commissions

"The FNF programme for early career nurses has equipped me with the basic knowledge I need to influence people towards a positive change. All modules in the programme have been of great advantage in my practice. However, I find most beneficial the importance of understanding my personality and that of my team, which is a primary factor that determines how we perceive and react to things. Also, the co-consulting module exposed me to some client case scenarios and I was able to solve some cases as proposed leaders in my team. This is an aspect that is new to me. I would encourage anyone who looks forward to becoming a leader someday to partake in the FNF online programme for early career nurses. Not only will you gradually build up some leadership skills, but will also be equipped with skills needed to practice effectively."
Ginika Ifechukwu, programme participant, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust

“Our trust is committed to investing in our employees, recognising their invaluable contributions to our healthcare system. Our junior nursing workforce, which predominantly comprises overseas professionals, greatly benefits from opportunities to enhance their skills and integrate leadership attributes. To support their growth and development, we have enrolled them in the FNF online Early Career Leadership course. We believe this programme is tailored to help them cultivate essential leadership qualities, enabling them to drive professional growth, enhance patient safety, and deliver high-quality care. By equipping our nurses with the skills and confidence to lead, we are building a stronger, more resilient healthcare workforce for the future.” Renny Heald, Matron for Workforce Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Trust
Programme Structure
The online programme will be undertaken over two and a half months. It includes 5 modules which will be opened up one by one for participants to work through at their own pace, meaning they can fit their learning around work and other commitments.
We estimate participants will need around 30-40 hours to complete the course content in total. They will work through some modules quicker than others but will gain more from the programme by reflecting on what they have learned from each.
The online learning has end-of-chapter quizzes but there are no long form essays or projects to complete.
Participants will be able to interact with fellow participants via various opportunities throughout the course. This will include interactive welcome and celebration webinars with expert facilitators.
