Chief Operating Officer
Mirjana Å krba is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) with over a decade of experience in the not-for-profit sector. She began her career in audit and accounting, qualifying with Deloitte LLP in 2008, and holds a degree in European Studies from Trinity College Dublin. She also worked for Crowe LLP and Moore Stephens LLP, where she developed strong expertise in risk management, audit, and compliance.
Before coming to the Florence Nightingale Foundation, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Carbon Tracker Initiative Ltd, an independent not-for-profit think tank in the climate finance space, calling for the alignment of global energy investment with climate goals. Throughout her career, she has developed expertise in strategy, operations, and grant management, supporting organisations to adapt, grow, and navigate change.
She brings a pragmatic and people-focused approach to her work, combining strategic thinking with hands-on support across governance, financial management, digital transformation, and international programme delivery.
In addition to her executive experience, she also holds trustee positions on the boards of SolarAid and her local scouts group.
