Interim Head of Leadership Development

Kate Greenstock joined FNF in September 2026 as our Interim Head of Leadership Development.

Kate is a distinctive combination of practising midwife, coach, and leadership development specialist. Her NHS maternity experience has primarily been within continuity of carer teams in London, and from 2024-6 she was based in Delhi, India, supporting systems strengthening and practice development in the Indian Government maternity system with WHO, Jhpiego and Community Empowerment Lab. As a coach and facilitator, she supports healthcare leaders to creatively re-imagine their work lives and amplify their distinctive voice. Her books Flourish: A Practical and Emotional Guide to Thriving in Midwifery (2023) and Flourish – Thriving as Nurses Against the Odds: A Practical and Emotional Guide (2026 with Clare Cable) articulate the psychological challenges of healthcare work whilst offering mechanisms for supporting self and others whilst catalysing systems change.

Kate is an experienced Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is a skilled facilitator of groups, shaping leadership, practice development and reflective environments for healthcare professionals. She facilitates Schwartz Rounds (exploring the emotional impact of healthcare work) for her NHS Trust and is a Professional Midwifery Advocate (PMA). She holds an MA (Oxon) in Modern History, DipHE. in Antenatal Education, BSc.(Hons) in Midwifery and MSc. Global Maternal Health. In addition to India, she has lived and worked in Japan, Iran and the UAE.
