Together we can improve care and save lives

The Florence Nightingale Foundation is a registered charity, supporting nurses and midwives to improve care and save lives. By 2027 we want to reach one million nurses and midwives, because they are the people who care for us and our loved ones in hospitals, community settings, in homes and, in the case of military nurses, around the world, at the most important moments.

In our 90th Anniversary year, your support will help us reach more nurses and midwives to improve health, clinical outcomes, and patient experience, right across the UK.

We rely on external funding to support our vital work, and for our 90th Anniversary we are aiming to raise £90,000 to support 90 students, 90 early career nurses and midwives, and 90 ward leaders and social care nurses, to improve care and save lives across the world.

Now more than ever, because of the challenges in recruiting and retaining nurses and the immense pressures on the wellbeing of those on frontlines and across all services, it is vital that we continue to support and develop our nursing and midwifery leaders – the Nightingales of today.

Without our partners, alumni, members and supporters, we would not be able to continue our pioneering work.

There are many ways in which you can help us to maintain, and grow our support for nurses and midwives on the frontline and across all services today. Find out more about how you can support us by clicking the images below.

“When nurses are empowered to lead, we can potentially have a huge impact on patient outcomes.”
