I, the Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Nurse/Director of Nursing/Executive Nurse Director, wish to join as a member of the Florence Nightingale Foundation (FNF) Academy to represent my organisation. I confirm that:
- I will pay the annual subscription fee by the start of the joining month.
- I will give 3 months notice if I do not wish to extend my subscription for the subsequent year by informing [email protected].
- I will agree to supply the FNF Academy with information to support the FNF Members Advisory Group to make informed decisions on the outputs of the FNF Academy.
- I will inform the FNF Academy if I move on to another role at a different organisation.
I agree to the terms and conditions of membership below.
The FNF Academy will:
- Make all relevant membership benefits available to you and your nurses and midwives.
- Provide you with a benefit statement each year.
- Provide an invoice 3 months before your membership subscription is due to expire each year.
The following terms & conditions apply to the service:
- As stated, membership of the FNF Academy will be held by the senior nurse/ midwife as the representative at each organisation. Should the postholder change then this will be transferred to the new senior nurse/ midwife at no additional charge and with no effect on the membership rights.
- Should the organisation at which the senior nurse/midwife serves merge with another then no refund will be available for any merged period. The FNF Academy welcomes upgrades in membership tiers to encompass system membership (e.g., Health Boards or Integrated Care Systems).
- Likewise, should the organisation split into more than one, the membership will transfer to both post-holders at no extra charge for the remainder of the year.
- Once membership has been confirmed by the FNF Academy, no refund of the membership fee will be made.
- The membership period shall run for 12 months and will be charged from the 1st day of the month in which they join.
- For the purpose of calculating the membership fee category, a nurse or midwife shall be defined as anyone registered as such with the country’s nursing regulator. This will be on an individual basis (per head count) as opposed to whole-time equivalent posts. If a University/ Higher Education Institution wishes to include students in their numbers, these must be registered students at the University/Higher Education Institution.
- Whilst the FNF Academy will support potential scholars through the provision of workshops, to ensure quality applications are made, the Florence Nightingale Foundation will not favour applicants from FNF Academy members during the scholarship application process.
- The FNF Academy is an integrated part of the Florence Nightingale Foundation and as such all-business decisions shall be made by the management of that body. In particular, there is no intention to ringfence monies raised through the membership fees and other activities of the FNF Academy.
- The benefits of the membership service will not be available until the related invoice is paid in full.
Applying for membership confirms agreement of these T&Cs.Â
