Follow in #FlorencesFootsteps
The Florence Nightingale Foundation needs you!
Whether you want to get in shape, stay active or just show your support for FNF, we need you more than ever this year, to help us raise vital funds to continue supporting nurses and midwives working on the frontline during COVID-19 and beyond. We need our wonderful supporters to help us raise funds by following in Florence’s Footsteps and organising a socially distanced event or activity for our amazing nurses and midwives.
We are looking for as many heroes as possible to take part in our #FlorencesFootsteps Challenge throughout the year. Joining is simple, all you need to do is think of your challenge and aim to raise £200 for us.
Whether you walk, run, cycle, we want you to join in. All money raised will go towards a number of our programmes including protecting the emotional wellbeing of our nurses and midwives. You could even walk #FlorencesFootsteps by joining a guided tour of London, with the Florence Nightingale Museum, which takes you to all of the places where Florence lived and worked.
Lead Research Nurse and FNF Scholar Claire, rose to our 200 for 200 challenge in 2020 and raised over £600 for the foundation. We couldn’t be more grateful for her efforts – well done Claire!
“I wanted to do a challenge that I could do anywhere, so I chose star jumps, squats and bouncing a table tennis ball all things I could do at home or at work, so it doesn’t matter where I am there is no excuse for not doing it for the 20 days. I was originally hoping to raise £200 for the Florence Nightingale Foundation, but people have taken that over £600 and I am blown away! So many people have told me they just can’t understand what nurses, midwives and all other health care professionals are going through right now, and they want to do something to help which is really lovely. I am so grateful to everybody who supported me and made a donation – thank you.”
Whatever way you choose, we want as many people as possible to take part in the #FlorencesFootsteps Challenge. All you have to do is click the link below to create your own page to share with friends, family and anyone else who would like to help. Good luck – we can’t wait to see what challenge you’ve chosen!!
