Anthony Carey is Senior Adviser, Board Practice and Public Policy at Mazars, the accountancy firm, where he was a partner for many years. He is also chair of Uniac, which is owned by and provides internal audit services to a number of universities.
Anthony is strongly committed to the role of education in serving society and in enabling students to achieve their full potential and is a supporter of initiatives to promote socio-economic diversity in the workplace.
A chartered accountant and chartered director, Anthony is a member of the Council of Lancaster University and was previously a member of Council and chair of the Audit Committee at Cranfield /university and a member of the governing body and chair of the audit committee at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. He is also a member of the audit committee at The Passage, the charity for homeless people.
Anthony’s other previous appointments include membership of the Financial Reporting Council’s Financial Reporting Review Panel and of its Financial Reporting Lab Steering Group. He has also served on the Executive of the Quoted Companies Alliance.
