Onyinye Enwezor works at Nottingham University Hospital as a Shared Governance Clinical Educator.

Onyi qualified as a Nurse and Midwife from the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu, Nigeria. She joined TEAM NUH in 2005 as a theatre nurse and in 2019 she left theatres for her dream job, and current role, as a Shared Governance Clinical Educator in the Institute of Care Excellence. Onyi is the Chair of the BAME Shared Governance Council, an inspiring role model and clinical Nurse.

In October 2019, Onyi received the International Nurse of the Year award and In October 2020, Onyi was awarded the British Empire Medal from Her Majesty the Queen for her services to the NHS. Onyi was also awarded the BAME Ambassador award from the Royal College of Nursing in November 2020.
