On Saturday 26th September, the Foundation's CEO, Professor Elizabeth Robb, was presented with an honourary doctorate from Plymouth University in recognition of her services to nursing and midwifery. Professor Robb felt privileged to attend the ceremony and was proud to witness so many keen and inspired graduates about to embark on their nursing careers. In her speech, Elizabeth gave advice on providing effective and compassionate care and echoed Florence Nightingale's famous words, to 'never give or take any excuse.'
The day was made extra special as Elizabeth (second from right) was delighted to be joined by three of the Foundation's leadership alumni: Professor Trish Livsey, Dean of Plymouth University (far left), Sue Stock, Head of Midwifery at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust (second from left) and Roisin McKeon-Carter, Clinical Director at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust (far right).
The Foundation wishes to congratulate Elizabeth on her doctorate and wishes all of the graduates well in their nursing careers!
